There is nothing quite like smoking a golden dooby. Whether you are celebrating something special or just want your joint to have that added flare; Shine papers are the dopest way to smoke!

Shine starts off with a hemp based rolling paper and then covers it in food grade 24k gold leaf to give it that signature luxury look. Shine screams status, but more importantly, they do the job.

Shine 24k Gold Rolling Paper Review

I love to roll joints, and I am extremely picky when it comes to which papers I use. Raw papers are my go-to, I buy them by the box and use them daily. Surprisingly enough, Shine papers stacked up pretty well against my all-time favorite papers. They were smooth, burned well, and didn’t have that chemically flavor that many papers seem to have.

Admittedly I was a bit hesitant to smoke a paper covered in metal, in my mind there was no way it could offer the same unadulterated flavor as my go-to rolling papers. To my surprise, Shine papers were extremely smooth and tasteless, and honestly if money wasn’t an issue they would be my daily drivers.

Rolling a shine paper is just like rolling with any other paper, it does have a bit more rigidity though. Where as a Raw paper will contour to your bud a little bit more, the Shine paper holds its cone shape. This is great if you are good at rolling and can ensure no dead spots in the joint, but it could make it difficult for novice rollers to identify and fix their mistakes.

Almost forgot to mention how much of a boss I felt like smoking a golden joint. Pure novelty, but you would be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn’t smile when you pass them a gold doob.

Are Shine papers worth $20.00 for a 2-pack, or $55 for a 12-pack? Probably not. But these papers aren’t meant for the average person to use on a daily basis, they are meant for tokers with money to burn or for those special celebrations when a normal doob just won’t cut it.

Shine 24k Gold Blunt Wrap Review

Let me preface this by saying I am normally not a fan of ‘cigar paper’ wraps. If I’m going to roll a blunt, chances are I’ll gut a backwoods and go from there. All of these sweet, flavored prepackaged wraps are unusable in my mind. But, thankfully Shine 24k Gold Cigar Wraps are different from the rest, and we aren’t just saying that because they’re covered in gold.

Shine’s blunt wraps have a sweet aroma and taste, but they don’t go overboard. They offer a sweet tobacco spike to your herb without overpowering it and drowning out that wonderful flavor.

I was really impressed with these wraps, they are one of the only pre-packaged blunt wraps I would consider buying. Unfortunately they are a bit pricey for me to enjoy on a regular basis, but they gave me hope that not all cigar-paper wraps are terrible.

Blunts are a luxury, they use up a bunch of herb and are generally reserved for special smoke sessions. Double down on your next blunt and try a Shine wrap out, they look amazing and do a much better job than most. As they should at $35.00 for a two-pack.

Final Thoughts

Shine papers made some serious waves once they hit the market a few years ago, immediately recognized as the ultimate stoner luxury wrap. Shine papers are meant for tokers with money to burn, able to spend more on the wrap than on the herb inside. This is abundantly evident when you check out their website or social media pages. If you drive a Lamborghini, why would you smoke out of a regular old zig-zag?

Don’t let the novelty of the gold fool you though, these are very usable papers and wraps. I would use them on the regular for sure, assuming it didn’t come with such a hefty price tag.

If you haven’t tried Shine papers or wraps before, you really should. It’s a great way to spark conversation in your next smoke circle and spread even more joy than with herb alone.
