Aptly named, the EpicVape is just that; it’s epic! It’s one of the first desktop vaporizers we have had the pleasure of reviewing, and it’s the first ‘log vape’ we have used. EpicVape is made in the U.S.A. and is quite simply one of the most worthwhile vaporizers on the market.

EpicVape E-Nano Review

Despite the EpicVape being a desktop vaporizer (it needs to be plugged in), it is a relatively small unit compared to other desktop vapes. It is also quite a bit cheaper than most other vaporizers available, starting at a mere $189.90. Don’t let the price fool you though, this is a quality vaporizer that offers supreme vapor quality.

Product-Review-Unboxing-EpicVape-Vaporizer

Each EpicVape is a handmade piece of art, as unique as the wood used to create each individual unit. They do offer a few different exotic woods to choose from, but we got the classic maple unit. It looks and feels fantastic!

One of the first things I noticed was that the heat-dial on the power cord goes up to 11, but 10 is the highest setting it allows you to choose. After reading the supplied info-sheet they mention the dial, and just as you might have guessed, it’s an homage to one of their favorite movies. Can you guess which one?

Again, this was the very first log-vape we have used. There is a definite log-vape community who swear by this style of vaporizer, and after using one, I can see why. Vapor quality, taste and density were all spectacular, I can’t think of any other vaporizer that could match the unadulterated taste that the EpicVape offers.

Similar to the MFLB, there is a little bit of a learning curve to the EpicVape. It isn’t as simple as a grab and go model like the Pax 2, but this gives the user a chance to really personalize their vaporizing experience. Finding the perfect heat setting and draw technique is like an artful dance with the EpicVape.

The EpicVape takes about 2 minutes to heat up to full temperature, but it doesn’t have any of the fancy auto-off features that many ‘higher-tech’ vapes have. Also, be very mindful of the glass stem. The lower portion that connects to the heating element gets extremely hot, careful not to burn yourself.

Pros

Taste. Did we mention that the EpicVape offers some of the purest tasting vapor we have ever had the pleasure of inhaling? Because the herb only contacts the metal heating area, and the glass stem, there is nothing to influence the flavor of the vapor aside from the herb itself.

Vapor density is fantastic once you get the hang of the EpicVape, for us it was about 2-4 puffs.

One thing we haven’t mentioned yet is the efficiency of the EpicVape. For the amount of herb used, I was blown away with how ‘medicated’ I felt afterwards. Waste not, want not; get yourself an EpicVape.

Cons

The bottom portion of the glass stem gets SUPER hot during a vape session. This isn’t a con until you accidently lay your finger across the molten glass, just something to keep in mind.

You will have to stir your herb up after a few puffs to ensure an even toast.

There is no indicator light that tells you when the vape has reached your desired temperature. A light will let you know that the vape is on, but give it a couple of minutes to make sure it’s at temperature.

I would have liked to see a guide (even a rough guide) of the different temperature settings and the heat produced by each one. I found the sweet spot around 7.5, at 10 it begins to have more of a black color than dark brown.

Final Thoughts

I wasn’t too sure what to think about the EpicVape E-Nano at first, but after using it I immediately fell in love. This will no doubt become my new daily-driver, assuming I’m near a power outlet.

Vapor enthusiasts would be hard-pressed to find a similarly priced vaporizer that can offer such a clean & quality experience.
