The Davinci MIQRO is the latest herbal vaporizer from the folks at Davinci, and we’re lucky enough to try one out! The previous vaporizer from this company was the Davinci IQ, which we reviewed and loved. This new MIQRO is a miniaturized version of their IQ model, using many of the same features but at a fraction of the size.

DaVinci MIQRO Review

The vaporizer itself costs $149 USD, but if you opt for the Explorer’s Pack it will set you back $199. The standard MIQRO bundle includes the vaporizer itself, a USB charging cable, accessory kit as well as the extended mouthpiece. Upgrading to the Explorer’s Pack will get you all the goodies you see below (plus a MIQRO glove which wasn’t included in our package).

Found in the box:

  • MIQRO Vaporizer
  • USB charging cable
  • Accessory kit
  • Extended mouthpiece
  • Grinder coin
  • Davinci carry can
  • Spare 18350 battery
  • Carrying case

Purity is key when it comes to a high quality vaporizer. Davinci knows this well and took every measure to ensure optimal vapor flavor, using an all ceramic zirconium airflow as well as precise temperature control.

The build quality of the MIQRO is top notch! It’s very similar to the IQ, just smaller. Using a metal exterior gives the vaporizer a solid and high quality feel, which makes sense considering how much tech and design goes into the innards of the MIQRO. The one downside is the vaporizer gets quite hot to the touch during extended vape sessions, something the IQ suffered from as well.

An adjustable oven pearl allows users to pack as much or as little herb in the oven as they’d like. A simple twist of the oven pearl will extend it so it holds the herb tightly together ensuring even heating and potent vapor regardless of the amount of herb used.

One gripe I have with the MIQRO is the battery life. The tiny 18350 battery offers 30 minutes of use on a single charge, but in my experience it’s closer to 2 full sessions (one session consisting of two heating cycles). The whole point of the MIQRO is to be small and portable though, so a bigger battery just wouldn’t make sense. For those who vape on the go the MIQRO is a wonderful option, perfect for short sessions and micro dosing. The second battery is a must in my opinion though.

A full temperature spectrum at the touch of a button allows users to completely customize their experience. Quite frankly when a modern vaporizer doesn’t offer complete temperature control I’m a little surprised and disappointed. Not only do you have complete control over the temperature, but you can press a button for a short ‘burst’ of heat for a more intense haul. The MIQRO heat up time is also quite impressive, reaching 370° F in ~40 seconds.

Considering how low profile and portable the MIQRO is, the vapor quality and overall function are really impressive. The drawbacks are pretty easily remedied with a ‘glove’ (rubber shell) and an extra battery. Combine all that with a very fair price and you have a must buy if you’re in the market for a vaporizer you can use on the go.
