Vaporizing cannabis yields plenty of advantages over smoking it, it’s healthier and it’s a great way to get the most out of your stash. There are quite a few ways to put that already vaporized bud to use, but did you know that dirty vaporizer stem of yours can be put to good use as well?
Vaporizer Stem Milk Recipe, It Doesn’t Get Any Easier.
Any avid vaporizer user can tell you that it doesn’t take very long before the mouthpiece starts to get grimy and gross looking. Very similar to the resin that accumulates when smoking cannabis, vaporizing will slowly deposit a layer of sticky resin on the inside of your mouthpiece. This resin can be extremely potent, so don’t waste it by cleaning it off with isopropyl alcohol.
Vaporizer stem milk is a dead-simple way to create your own cannabis edible (drinkable) without having to really know what you’re doing.
The recipe below is more of a template than anything. Feel free to play around with different flavors and creative ways to serve it, we kept it simple with a classic hot chocolate style vaporizer stem milk. Enjoy!
How to make Vaporizer Stem Milk
Ingredients:
- Glass Vaporizer Stem/s
- 2 cups Whole Milk
- 1 tbsp Cocoa *Optional
- Sugar to taste *Optional
Equipment:
- Saucepan / Pot
- Spoon
- Mesh strainer *Optional
Method:
- Pour the milk into your saucepan / pot and gently place your vaporizer stems inside. The milk should completely cover the stems.
- Place the saucepan / pot on the stove over a low heat. Be sure not to boil the milk or else you’ll have a bad time.
- Continuously stir the milk, be careful not to bang the stems around too much or they may break.
- After roughly 10-15 minutes the milk should be ready. This can vary, but once the stems appear clean it should be ready to rock.
- Remove the vaporizer stems carefully (they’re hot).
- Pour the infused milk into your mug (through a strainer if you like) and stir in the cocoa & sugar.
- Drink, relax, and enjoy the ride.
Final Words
If your stems were anything like mine, they may have some chunky bits stuck to the walls. These are just little bits of herb that managed to make their way through the screen, nothing sinister. Pouring the milk through a mesh strainer will remove any little bits from your final product, personally I don’t bother with this step.
We suggest using whole milk because fat content is important. If you don’t have access to whole milk for some reason, you can get away with using 2% milk with a bit of butter or cream thrown in.
The vaporizer stems should be pretty clean looking after you infuse the milk, but it’s important to clean them thoroughly before throwing them back on your vaporizer. Whole milk will leave a fatty film on the glass, so clean them up after they cool down and you’ll be ready to start vaporizing again.
Not a fan of warm milk / hot chocolate? No problem.
Instead of drinking the milk immediately after it comes off the stove, let it sit for a few minutes then place it in the fridge to cool off. Pour it in your coffee, make a smoothie with it, use it for your cereal or wherever else you might use regular old milk.
It’s very difficult to gauge the potency of vaporizer stem milk, so if it’s your first time we suggest going low and slow, as with any edible.
